@CanadianPolling Besides the rich and slumlords, I imagine a fair chunk of that 36% lives in houses they bought 20 or more years ago. They're insulated for simply not drowning in housing cost. Especially the ones over 65 who get a minimum of $2000 a month from CPP, OAS, GAINS and GIS.
