do NOT throw away your mascara wands.

Instead, clean JUST THE WAND w/Dawn soap, place them in ziploc bag & mail them to a refuge accepting donations. They are used to clean away oil, larvae, fly eggs, mites, etc, from wildlife. Works great for medical care and wound treatment.
