Michael seemed to understand who he was. He was happy and proud of himself that message is important for anyone. I enjoyed this book and the story that it told throughout. #XUEngl205
@emmadistefano20 I also thought that was really interesting. Could be just his thoughts and feelings towards his father and what he needs from him. But at the same time wants to still acknowledge him in his life.
I thought it was interesting that Michael continues to come out to different people in his life and they don’t seem to acknowledge it as much and it feels like it’s any other day. #XUEngl205
@HannahP07346164 I agree! Daisy doesn’t care about who Michael is and his past. It will be interesting to see if Michael learns more about Daisy and her life.
1-100. Micheals relationship with Daisy is completely new to him and reading about him trying to figure it out was really interesting to me. It seems like he’s trying to understand her better throughout the end of page 100 #XUEngl205
6-7: The Stop and Frisk situation was very opening to me. I think about the times that I or someone I know has been pulled over and they’ve never had any sort of issue. I didn’t realize how big of issue this was for African Americans until xavier and their stories. #XUEngl205
3-5 chapter #XUEngl205 I was surprised by how little people cared when talking openly about black people. I found it interesting when she talked about that feeling of darkness among others
#XUEngl205 I thought it was interesting that each of these essays discussed the work ethic of their parents and how much that effected them going forward. It was also interesting to me to read from the perspective of coming to America and all that comes with that.
@sklink20 I totally agree with you, I feel like you have to have the people that are creating the show to have those experiences or else it won’t be very authentic.
#XUEngl205 Reservation Dogs tells shows the sorry and life of native Americans on a reservation. I feel like I haven’t seen any kind of film related to Native American reservations before. This show allows people in these communities to feel represented in a major film.
