Growing up in Queens New York, I have to admit something. I’ve taken this country for granted. I grew up in a predominantly Italian neighborhood hanging out on the streets without a worry in the world. Afraid of nothing. Why? Because we were all safe. Everyone knew everyone. You can walk the streets all hours of the night. There was life and we all looked out for one another. My front door didn’t even lock. Great times. Kids playing in the streets adults sitting in front of the house seemingly bullshitting all night. I thought this was just normal life. I never realized what it took to make my neighborhood and more importantly our country safe. We all took it for granted. Kids weren’t being yanked off the streets and disappearing at the least it was rare. Today? It is a ghost town. No police protection turned every city neighborhood into a drug infested shooting gallery. Not just my state but practically every state where there is liberal leadership. This no longer resembles that America. People aren’t as trusting or as friendly. People seem to only worry about themselves. I no longer feel the love that I always felt growing up. What changed? Politics. A group known as the Democrats decided that our America will be transformed. They wanted the rule of thumb and decided their greed and power was more important than our sovereignty. I don’t know about you but I want to go back to that place. Not for me but for my kids and future generations. We must conquer this evil or at least die trying. Our America is worth it. If our military can put their lives on the line to keep us all safe, we owe it to them to hold up our end of the bargain on our side
