As a devout Believer... I don't actually believe death is all that bad. It may be glorious for true Christians.

I want to be here for God's purpose and to be present for my family.

Death is likely far harder on those we leave behind than for those who leave.

It feels like vacationing is a propaganda element pushed onto us.

For a long time, the beach trip or Disney trip has felt silly. Oh, a week went by, I have less PTO, & we are out thousands?

Feels like small thinking to me.

I'd rather relax, spend real time with my kids.

Unpopular opinion, but I think it is important to own your home, take care of it, & invest in it.

I don't actually need vacations because it inevitably leads to unnecessary spending and chores being done for other people.

I like small weekend trips. Or big, once in a life trips

Two things for the week away.

1) Jeremiah cost someone his job this weekend. Which is awesome for him and Ohio St.

2) I'm actually shocked the Steelers beat the Bengals.
