I'm not the one attempting a hostile fork of bitcoin, I couldn't imagine the outcry if I attempted 10% of what you're actively doing... and you can knock me all day long but I have everything invested into Bitcoin's success and my incentives are to see it thrive.
If your fork fails and results in a chain split, do you feel any responsibility? Are you going to come crawling back to core after declaring definitively bitcoin is dead unless bip110 activates? I put my money where my mouth is, do you?
@jaxsiefuds@NewstalkFM Government regulations mandating excessive insulation and airtightness to hit net zero targets trap heat and cause overheating, not climate change.
It is not our mission to HODL Bitcoin and bull post about the latest politician or celebrity to say cRyPtO.
Start9 is not a "Bitcoin treasury company".
We are a small band of cypherpunks and Bitcoiners trying to help disembowel the global tech cartel with code, hardware, education, and support - none of which is free.
From 2020-2023, we held between 10-40% of our liquid capital in Bitcoin. Since early 2023, that number has been 100%, selling only enough each month to pay the next month's bills.
75% of the people paid by Start9 are paid in Bitcoin.
90%+ of pur customers are people wanting to run a Bitcoin/Lightning node.
25%+ of all the nodes on the network on running on StartOS.
We are by every metric more invested in Bitcoin's success than pretty much any company on the planet, and we are actively contributing to its success by augmenting its core value, decentralization, through the proliferation of nodes.
Every piece of code we write is MIT licensed, same as Bitcoin. The most free possible.
We do not rely on charity, debt, or gimmicks.
Our only defense as a business is the quality of our products, warranties, and support, and our integrity to the principles of openness and freedom.
Despite a few haters and morons who would prefer that we hodled Bitcoin and bull posted about it rather than fight a revolution, we will carry on.
We will do whatever is necessary to achieve our mission, including exchanging a tiny portion of our Bitcoin for inventory and time occasionally when we see headwinds in the market.
And we will share what we see, because we believe in transparency. You don't have to agree with what we see.
When it comes to the showdown, we will be there, arming you. Your "treasury companies", celebrities, and politicians will not.
@Hanakookie1@1914ad If you run knots and support BIP-110 but think that Matt Kratter is the problem, when he’s been hugely influential in onboarding plebs to both bitcoin and now BIP-110, then you must disagree with his recent criticism of Saylor, which makes me believe you must worship saylor
