There is case law allowing this only in the context of DUI checkpoints because of the overriding public safety interest. Not sure that same risk is present with folks on suspended licenses.
To a certain extent yes. But, if you go through these checkpoints and you donโt provide the proper documentation that becomes probable cause.
Therefore they are letting you know ahead of time when they will be conducting the checkpoint in which by law they are required to.
