I understand your point, and I absolutely don’t want to contribute to unnecessary panic or stigma against Uganda.
But from an international traveller’s perspective, confirmed imported Ebola cases in Kampala combined with WHO declaring an international health emergency naturally raises concerns about how the situation may evolve over the next weeks and months.

For tourists travelling via Entebbe into remote regions like Bwindi, the uncertainty itself becomes part of the issue — possible travel restrictions, screenings, quarantine measures or sudden operational disruptions.

I truly hope Uganda and the regional health authorities manage to contain the outbreak quickly and successfully.

Thank you for your perspective — and I genuinely hope you are right.

Our concern is less about panic and more about uncertainty. Situations like this can evolve very quickly, especially around international transit hubs like Kampala/Entebbe.

As travelers, we simply believe airlines should offer reasonable flexibility while the situation is being monitored internationally.

No one wants to be forced to choose between financial loss and potential health concerns.
