@tom28818@JohnRuddick2 Which is why John said that if right wingers (ONP voters) preference, it is likely ALP will lose as ONP voters are more likely to preference LNP over ONP
@TheKouk If people can't service their debts, then those assets are sold. The more assets being sold the greater the supply and the less those assets are worth... Your assets to debt is therefore not a very good measure of strength
@bensab3@Your_Avg_Punter I mean climate change is real, net zero is a scam. We need china and India on board - china maybe, india never. No point getting to net zero if they don't, better of investing in better energy technology
@TheKouk Mate are you an economist or a politician first? Where is your integrity? Honestly, I used to follow you for a well rounded take on the general economy, but my god you have become so partisen it is difficult to follow you nowadays.
@_warrenhogan@aDottore Just so I understand, rba presents the total lending as a whole - so if there are 100 investor loans at 1/7/26 then 10 are paid out and 15 new investor loans taken, leaving 105 investor loans at 1/8/26. Then Rba would say growth of 5%... Correct?
@ellensandell Ellen, I agree that climate change is real, and the climate emergency needs to be acted on. But realistically, we need a worldwide initiative to curb greenhouse gases including China, India etc. this is not possible - we need newer better energy tech - that's where fundings need
@4mambo Net zero, within Australia alone will not save the planet, the entire world needs to come together to kill climate change. But realistically, it's unachievable at that level. We should instead be investing in research in better forms of energy.
@altimetr@AvidCommentator You're right, they can. But they can also see the decline of Australia under the two major parties - people want a change, they want to take the risk in the hope that someone changes things
@MospeadaG18716@ausstockchick@grok So, remind me, what was your original point? If everyone invests in stocks (which they already do) then the market will sh*t itself?
