Good lord, reading #Mets fans comments today is depressing. I hate that they are losing too, but what some of y'all are dropping as "ideas" seems like a bad shroom trip.
@Mets vs @Rockies - Series Predictions #Mets win 2 out 3
https://t.co/21lf8JRzUH
The #Mets finally stopped bleeding all over the carpet.
After a brutal 12-game losing streak, they took two straight from Minnesota, won their first series since early April, and now get a Rockies team that can hit enough to be annoying, but still pitches like the bullpen phone is connected to a haunted house.
This is not a cute little weekend series. This is a prove-it series. The #Mets are 9-16. The #Rockies are 10-16. Both clubs are trying to crawl out of the basement before the smell becomes permanent.

Syracuse jumped ahead behind another Ryan Clifford bomb, but Worcester took over late and turned it into a 10-4 loss. Clifford stayed hot with a homer and 3 RBI, which is the kind of Triple-A power signal Mets fans should keep watching.
Player of the Game: Ryan Clifford
2-for-4, HR, 3 RBI, R

Binghamton dropped a 3-1 game to Erie, but A.J. Ewing gave Mets fans the headline. He reached three times, hit his first Double-A homer, stole a base, and basically did everything short of selling hot dogs between innings.
Player of the Game: A.J. Ewing
2-for-3, HR, RBI, R, BB, SB
@BKCyclones
Brooklyn lost 10-2 to Hudson Valley, but Corey Collins gave the night some juice by taking Gerrit Cole deep. The Cyclones got buried late, but a homer off Cole gets circled. That one counts extra in the imaginary petty ledger.
Player of the Game: Corey Collins
2-for-4, HR, 2B, RBI, R
@stluciemets
St. Lucie got knocked around in an 11-3 loss to Palm Beach, but JT Benson showed out with two extra-base hits and a strong defensive night in center. Elian Peña added two hits too, because at least somebody brought a bat.
Player of the Game: JT Benson
2-for-4, HR, 2B, RBI, 2 R

1. #Mets 10, @Twins 8: New York won its second straight game and took the series from Minnesota.
2. Bo Bichette delivered the biggest swing: A three-run double in the eighth broke a 7-7 tie and saved the night.
3. Brett Baty keeps giving the lineup juice: His three-run homer in the first gave the Mets early control.
4. Carson Benge went deep again: That matters. The kid is not just hanging around. He is impacting games.
Francisco Lindor is on the 10-day IL: Left calf strain, timeline TBD, and it sounds like this could be more than a quick breather.
5. Ronny Mauricio is back: He gets a real opportunity at shortstop while Lindor is out.
Tonight: Rockies at Mets, 7:10 p.m. ET at Citi Field. Michael Lorenzen vs. Freddy Peralta.
@threeinningfan I'd rather have this losing streak in April then mid-year or end of year. The worst is now behind the #Mets, and now it's time to focus on playing @Mets brand of baseball moving forward.

@SyracuseMets
Jonah Tong shoved again for Syracuse, punching out 9 over 5.1 innings and looking every bit like one of the nastiest arms in the system. When the fastball is jumping like that, hitters are basically filing a missing persons report.
Player of the Game: Jonah Tong
@RumblePoniesBB
Binghamton got smoked 8-1 by Erie, but Jacob Reimer did everything short of driving the bus home, going 4-for-4 in a game where the Ponies managed only four hits total. One-man offense. Not ideal, but damn impressive.
Player of the Game: Jacob Reimer
@BKCyclones
Brooklyn lost 4-3 to Hudson Valley on a walk-off for the second straight night, which is the baseball version of stepping on the same rake twice. The Cyclones had just 5 hits and went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
Player of the Game: Bryce Jenkins
@stluciemets
St. Lucie answered the bell with a 5-2 win over Palm Beach after getting blasted the night before. Julio Zayas delivered the big swing, Frank Camarillo gave them five solid innings, and the bullpen did its job without turning it into a circus.
Player of the Game: Julio Zayas

1. The #Mets beat the @Twins 3-2 Wednesday and finally snapped the 12-game losing streak.
2. Mark Vientos went from “what the hell was that?” to game hero with the go-ahead RBI single in the eighth.
3. Juan Soto returned and got on base twice, which matters more than one line in one box score.
4. Francisco Lindor left with left calf tightness, which puts a giant flashing light over tonight’s lineup.
5. Christian Scott gets the ball tonight against Joe Ryan in a game that suddenly feels a lot bigger than late April should.
