Uansett Norge eller ikke: Jeg baserer alltid mine analyser på det faglige:
Alt for lett å dømme frispark mot @Erling der. Aldri VAR-mat. Begge pusher. Den ene sterkere enn den andre. England-spilleren overspiller også. Skandale!
After more than 20 years in the stock market, I often ask myself one question:
If I had to start over today, what would I learn first?
I've made almost every mistake you can imagine. I've chased stocks, overcomplicated my charts, ignored risk and searched for shortcuts that didn't exist.
Looking back, a handful of lessons made almost all the difference 👇
1) Learn risk management before you learn how to make money.
Making money is only possible if you stay in the game long enough.
Early in my trading career, another trader taught me position sizing, stop losses and portfolio risk. That changed everything. I never blew up a trading account because I understood that protecting capital always comes first.
The goal isn't to maximize returns on your next trade.
The goal is to survive long enough to trade the next thousand.
2) Don't fall in love with buy and hold.
Many investors believe every stock eventually comes back. History says otherwise.
Great companies lose their edge. Entire industries disappear. Former market leaders become tomorrow's biggest losers.
That's why I prefer a rules-based approach with clear buying and selling rules. My job isn't to predict the future. My job is to react when the evidence changes.
3) Don't trade technical analysis alone.
For years I searched for the perfect chart pattern.
The problem was simple: dozens of stocks looked identical, but only a few became exceptional winners.
Everything changed once I combined technical analysis with strong fundamentals, institutional demand and a compelling growth story.
The chart tells me when to buy. Fundamentals help me decide what deserves my attention.
4) Keep your charts simple.
I wasted years believing another indicator or another software package would finally give me an edge.
It never happened.
Today I use fewer indicators than ever before. A clean chart allows me to focus on what actually matters: price, volume, trend and market context.
Simple beats complicated.
5) Trading is learned by doing.
Books are valuable, especially biographies of great traders.
But books alone won't make you consistently profitable.
Most of my progress came from reviewing charts, making mistakes, testing ideas and refining my process. Experience is the greatest teacher.
6) Train your pattern recognition every day.
This is one of the highest-return activities I know.
I built chart books containing hundreds of past market winners and reviewed them over and over again.
Eventually, your brain starts recognizing quality almost automatically.
The best traders don't just know patterns. They've seen them thousands of times.
7) Be realistic about the timeline.
Most people underestimate how difficult trading really is.
They expect consistency within a year and become frustrated when it doesn't happen.
Trading is a profession, and like every profession it takes years of deliberate practice before everything starts to click.
Once I accepted that, I became far more patient—and ironically improved much faster.
8) Find mentors who can actually teach.
Almost everything I know today came from other traders.
Not because I copied their trades. Because they explained how they think, how they manage risk and why they make certain decisions.
A great mentor doesn't create followers. A great mentor helps you become independent.
Looking back, none of these lessons are complicated.
- Risk management.
- Patience.
- Pattern recognition.
- Stock selection.
- Simple rules.
None of them are exciting. But together they completely changed my trading career.
Cloudflare CEO Prince on how AI changes who gets laid off first:
Two weeks ago I laid off more than 20% of my workforce. I didn’t do it because Cloudflare is struggling. We posted record revenue growth, have strong free cash flow and are adding an unprecedented number of customers around the world. I did it because business is changing, and to win the future, Cloudflare needs to change with it.
We haven’t found another example in U.S. business history of a public company growing at more than 30% that laid off more than 20% of its workforce. Yet what we did is likely going to become the norm over the next year. This is a story about artificial intelligence, but executives and commentators are misunderstanding how it will disrupt business and who will be affected.
AI isn’t coming for builders or sellers, but it is coming for measurers. Tireless, independent, efficient and available, AI systems can now measure an organization with a level of objective detail and precision that was previously impossible even for the best employees.
For Cloudflare, internal audit previously picked a handful of business risk areas to scrutinize each quarter. Now we’re moving to a system in which every business risk is audited continuously. We’re closing our books faster. We’re making fewer mistakes and catching the ones we do more reliably. And, as CEO, I’ve never had better tools to measure exactly how the business is performing, including identifying our rising stars.
The vast majority of those we laid off last week were measurers. We cut middle managers across the organization because AI allows us to have more direct reports per manager while still measuring and mentoring our teams effectively.
We consolidated our operations functions into a single group that can support teams across the business, using AI to gain specific expertise when needed. We significantly reduced our marketing team, which, like in most companies, was teeming with measurers. Across our finance team, we found opportunities to consolidate and automate.
We received almost a million applicants for 1,111 paid internships this summer. The interns we hired are extremely qualified and AI-native. They’re all builders or sellers, and we expect that the majority will get full-time offers.
@markminervini@TmarketL I’ve read all of them multiple times and work every day to apply the insights to my trading to achieve my goals🤩 These books have been a game changer for me 🙌🏻
One month after starting the war in Iran, this is the statement of the President of the United States on Easter Sunday.
These are the ravings of a dangerous and mentally unbalanced individual. Congress has got to act NOW. End this war.
Retired 4-Star Navy Admiral and former Navy SEAL William McRaven on Donald Trump: "Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation."
RETWEET if you stand with Admiral McRaven!
What percentage of people aspiring to make a living as an artist, a baseball player, a musician, a talk show host or an actor make it? So, I guess we shouldn't even try? Thank god everyone doesn't think like you my friend. What a world lacking in passion and achievement that would be.
But I will answer your question.
Of the people who truly make up their minds to do the work, commit unconditionally and not let negative comments like yours distract them from their potential, 100% succeed. Success in the stock market is a choice, not a chance.
But more importantly, guess how many people who think and talk like you make it? Zero.
When a stock falls precipitously and drastically underperforms the market, it’s usually a warning - not a bargain.

It needs work, patience, and execution.
