Hasan Piker’s dangerous and hateful language targeting Jewish Americans has no place in our civic discourse. Suggesting that Jewish Americans bear responsibility for hatred or violence directed against them is wrong, dangerous, and antisemitic.

We can, and should, argue fiercely over policy. We should have meaningful dialogue and debate about the policies and actions of the Israeli government and American foreign policy. That is the lifeblood of democracy. But that’s not what this is.

No American should be told that their political beliefs make them responsible for hatred or violence directed against them. There is a bright line between vigorous debate and rhetoric that stokes hatred toward our neighbors. Mr. Piker has crossed that line, repeatedly and unmistakably.

Islamic Republic in Iran hangs 24-Year-old woman who defended herself from sexual assault

Yesterday the regime executed Marziyeh Neyri yesterday, a young woman who was forced into marriage at age 17 and hanged for fighting back against her attacker.

Marziyeh was 18 years old when her husband's associate attempted to sexually assault her in her own home, in front of her husband. She grabbed a kitchen knife to defend herself. Her husband died in the struggle.

She told the court she had been repeatedly assaulted by her husband's associates before that day. Iran's courts didn't care.

The regime rejected her self-defense claim. Her attacker, who survived, took the stand and called her a murderer. The court believed him over her.

She was sentenced to death.

No clemency. No mercy. The sentence was carried out at Chubindar Prison in Qazvin.

Marziyeh Neyri never had a chance. Forced into marriage as a child under Iran's Islamic laws, she spent the few years of her adult life in a courtroom, fighting for her life after defending it.

She lost.

This is the Sharia Laws in Islamic Republic of Iran where a woman can be hanged for surviving.

You’re outrageous for saying Iran only attacks Americans when triggered. This is a blatant lie.

Soleimani’s Quds Force was not a passive regional actor waiting for U.S. “intervention.” It planned and enabled operations that killed hundreds of U.S. service members via explosives in Iraq, plotted attacks on U.S. diplomats and civilians, and built a network explicitly dedicated to “Death to America.” Pretending Iranian targeting of Americans only occurs after U.S. action in the region is historically incomplete; the regime’s ideology and operations predate and outlast U.S. deployments. You know this but you’re deliberately running cover for the murderous Iranian regime.

The “Iranian-backed Shia militias and Assad were fighting ISIS” claim you just made is only true in a narrow tactical sense during parts of the Syrian/Iraqi campaigns, but it does not make the Iranian axis a net positive or neutral force. Those same networks simultaneously undermined U.S. interests, attacked Americans when convenient, expanded Iranian influence, and preserved a regime that exports Islamic jihad  and funds for global Islamic terrorism. Parallel enemies of ISIS does not equal allies of the United States.

The Iranian regime’s core identity remains anti-American and expansionist under the current system.

Iran’s nuclear progress, enrichment levels, ballistic missile advances, and proxy campaigns continued under multiple administrations.

Restraint has limits when a state continues to advance capabilities that threaten the U.S., its forces, and partners while chanting for their destruction. You should know this as the now *former* Director of the National Counterterrorism Center. The 2026 conflict (U.S.-Israeli strikes beginning late February, Khamenei’s death, subsequent cycles of attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, tit-for-tat strikes, partial ceasefires, and ongoing negotiations) is messy, costly, and politically divisive because we are dealing with an authoritarian regime.

Declaring it a failure because public support has fluctuated or because influencers in Podcastistan are loud is a short sighted and premature analysis, not a strategy.

It’s revealing how you attack me for raising the alarm over Islam when you won’t even touch the subject. Treating the Islamic Regime’s revolutionary Shia Islamism, IRGC doctrine, and proxy model as irrelevant cultural noise is worse than anything I’ve ever said about Islam.
