Watch: Yuli Novak, B’Tselem’s Executive Director, speaking at the launch of our new report, The Elimination Project, and calling on the international community to act:

“How much more evidence do you need before you act? Statements do not protect anyone until they become action. Every day without meaningful action gives Israel more time to deepen this project and make it harder to reverse.”

The Elimination Project shows how Israel is systematically using interconnected mechanisms: violence, displacement, restrictions on movement, economic strangulation and political repression to dismantle the conditions that allow Palestinians to exist as a collective in the West Bank, while expanding and entrenching Israeli control and Jewish supremacy.

The international community must stop treating these isolated violations and end the impunity that allows this system to continue.

WHISTLEBLOWER CAUGHT THE FRAUD, THE NHS CAUGHT AMNESIA

Sharmila Chowdhury @sharmilaxx gave the NHS 30 years of clean service. Not one blemish. Then she did something apparently unforgivable.

She noticed two consultant radiologists at Ealing Hospital, run by London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust @LNWH_NHS, billing the NHS for shifts they were actually spending at a private hospital down the road.

Getting paid twice for the same hours is fraud everywhere on earth.

Everywhere except, apparently, inside an NHS complaints process.

She reported it.

To her line manager.
To the Medical Director.
To the HR Director.
To Counter Fraud.
To the Chief Executive.
To Number 10.
To the Treasury.

She built a paper trail so solid that ITV @itvnews later sent an undercover team into the same hospital years on and filmed the same consultants still taking cash from patients for private ultrasounds on NHS premises.

The Trust's response to all that diligence was to sack her, based on counter allegations later shown to be fabricated.

The man behind those allegations reportedly signed off an email too crude to print here.

He picked up a Top Mentor award from the Trust that same year. Nobody writes comedy this good on purpose.

Sharmila took it to tribunal and won. Won the appeal too.

A judge ordered the Trust to reinstate her. The Trust said no. She was then quietly blacklisted across the NHS.

One job offer was withdrawn the moment they worked out who she was. Legal costs hit £130,000.

Somewhere in the middle of it she developed breast and lung cancer, which her doctors link to years of sustained stress.

The two consultants kept their jobs.

George Osborne could not get involved.

Andrew Lansley could not get involved.

David Cameron could not get involved.

Every one of them filed it under employment matter, Whitehall for we would rather not know.

A proven fraud case, covered by ITV @itvnews, the Guardian, Daily Mail @DailyMail, Channel 4 News @Channel4News, the Independent @Independent, BBC News @BBCNews, the Times @thetimes and the Daily Mirror @DailyMirror.

The official position of Her Majesty's Government was still not our problem.

This is the reward system.

Report fraud, lose your career, lose your health, and watch the people you reported get promoted.

You packed a lot of confusion into four sentences, Ezra, so let me untangle it slowly.

First, this line:

"So where is Israel's ancestral homeland if not Israel?"

You are doing what Zionism always does.

You take a religious or mythic claim that some Jews have a spiritual connection to a piece of land and you inflate it into a modern property deed for a 21st-century ethnostate.

Ancestry is not a land title.

If it were, half the planet would be on ships going back to somewhere else.

Most Jews alive today do not have continuous, lived, generational ties to that land.

Most Palestinians do.

That is the difference you keep skipping.

"Ancestral homeland" for you is a slogan.

For them it is the house key, the family orchard, the graveyard, and the village your side turned into a pine forest.

Second:

"They don't have a right to exist you suggest?"

No state on earth has a mystical "right to exist."

States are political arrangements.

They are born, split, reunify, collapse, get renamed.

People have the right to exist.

People have the right to safety, dignity, and return.

When someone asks "Does Israel have a right to exist," what they usually mean is:

"Do Jews have the right to live in Palestine without being slaughtered or expelled?"

The answer to that is obviously yes.

But that is not what your slogan is doing.

"Right to exist" in this context means:

"Does a self-defined Jewish state have the right to maintain a demographic majority and political supremacy even if it requires dispossession, siege, and permanent second-class status for the original inhabitants?"

That is not a right.

That is a demand for eternal impunity.

You can have equal rights for everyone between the river and the sea.

Or you can have a Jewish ethnocracy.

You cannot have both.

The "right to exist" language is just your way of avoiding saying out loud which one you choose.

Third:

"Palestinians have long lived alongside Israel in Gaza strip for millennia"

Israel has not existed for millennia.

Gaza has not always been a fenced-in strip.

You are mashing words together to hide the timeline.

For millennia, there were people living in that land: Canaanites, Philistines, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Arabs, and many others in between.

What you call "Israel" today is a modern state built in 1948 on top of their continuity.

Gaza as we know it now is not some cute example of coexistence.

It is the concentrated result of ethnic cleansing.

It is where many of the refugees from the villages your side emptied ended up.

They did not "live alongside Israel."

They were fenced, bombed, starved, and periodically massacred by it.

So let me answer you plainly.

Israel's "ancestral homeland" is the same soil where Palestinians planted their olive trees, buried their parents, and passed down their houses long before your state had a flag.

I am not saying Jews have no place there.

I am saying no group gets to turn myth into a weapon, erase the people already living there, and then hide behind the sacred phrase "right to exist" every time someone points to the bodies.

If Palestine truly stood as a free, equal land for all its inhabitants, from river to sea, Israel as an exclusivist project would not "stop existing."

It would simply lose its alibi.

RIP Katina. 💔

Stolen from her home at just three years old.
She spent 47 years imprisoned in a tiny concrete tank.
Her freedom traded for profit.

In captivity, her dorsal fin collapsed.
She was forced to give birth seven times, only to have every one of her calves taken away.

She never returned to the ocean.
She never knew freedom again.
Let her death not be in vain.

End captivity.
For Katina.
For every whale still trapped.

In a world where artificial intelligence can replicate a person’s voice or face in seconds, Denmark is stepping forward with a groundbreaking proposal: a copyright law that grants every citizen ownership of their own likeness.

If passed, this law would mean no one — not even AI companies — could legally use your face, voice, or body data without consent. The move comes amid growing global concerns about deepfakes, where digital replicas of real people are used in scams, misinformation, and even political manipulation.
