🚀 @NASAArtemis has completed its lunar flyby and is now on its return to Earth.

At Slingshot Aerospace, we’ve been tracking the Orion spacecraft throughout its entire mission using the Slingshot Global Sensor Network.

In the first photo below, Orion is visible from nearly 380,000 km away as it returns to Earth after looping around the Moon in a region where tracking coverage is limited and maintaining visibility becomes significantly more challenging.

The second image captured by the crew shows the inverse perspective - looking back toward Earth as Orion comes around the Moon. While they look home, we’re tracking them from it.

Together, these views capture both sides of the same mission: exploration outward, and the systems on Earth that keep that journey visible, understood, and supported.

This is the regime where future missions will operate more routinely - and where high-confidence tracking becomes essential.

Congratulations to NASA and the Artemis team on reaching this milestone.
