We are facing an unprecedented invasion on our shores and the French are supporting this operation.

Most people hear “charity helping migrants in Calais” and picture a few volunteers handing out food and blankets.

Secours Catholique–Caritas France is operating on an entirely different scale.

Follow the numbers:

💶 €149.8 MILLION total income/products in 2025

👥 59,800 VOLUNTEERS

💼 Volunteer work valued at €175.7 MILLION

🏛️ €10.18 MILLION in public grants/subsidies

🏦 €6.3 MILLION in contributions from foundations and associations

Major named support included:

• Fondation Caritas France — €3.2M
• Fondation Crédit Mutuel — €800K
• Fondation Daniel et Nina Carasso — ~€300K

Corporate skills-based support included approximately:

• BNP Paribas — €800K
• Société Générale — €400K
• AXA — €400K
• Allianz Technology — €200K

Now look at Calais.

🇫🇷 Secours Catholique says it has worked with exiled people in Calais for more than 25 YEARS.

Its Calais day centre operates 3 afternoons every week.

The organisation says 200–800 migrants can attend, with services including practical assistance, laundry, hot drinks, clothing repairs and phone charging.

And this isn’t limited to humanitarian relief.

Secours Catholique operates CEDRE, its specialist centre supporting asylum seekers and refugees with administrative procedures.

It also conducts policy advocacy.

Its own 2024 annual report describes an asylum-access change around Calais as a:

“réussite de plaidoyer” — an advocacy success.

This is the point people are missing.

We aren’t looking at a handful of volunteers.

We’re looking at a ~€150 MILLION national organisation, nearly 60,000 volunteers, public funding, major foundations, corporate support, specialist asylum infrastructure and more than two decades of operations in Calais.

But the organisational scale is undeniable.

You do not realise the scale of the infrastructure surrounding migration until you start following the money.

And we’re only getting started.

I’m fucking finished. Completely spent. Watching the repulsive, endless circus at Holyrood has sucked every last drop of energy out of me.
These politicians are rank, putrid, self serving parasites. Not public servants they are parasites. They’re in it for the cash, the status, the grubby little perks and the pure self gratification. They’d sell their own communities, their own people, their own children’s future without a second thought if it meant keeping their snouts buried deep in the trough.
How much longer is Scotland meant to endure this national humiliation? How much longer do we have to put up with these green weirdos and the rest of this contemptible, useless shower of opportunists who treat the country like their personal cash cow and playground?
We’re forced to bankroll a complete, stinking, worthless shiteshow that gives us absolutely nothing back. Zero. And the more incompetent, more corrupt, more detached and arrogant Holyrood becomes, the more it costs us. Every single year. More waste. More failure. More betrayal. And we just keep paying while they laugh all the way to the bank.
This isn’t politics. It’s a disgraceful, open robbery of a nation by people who couldn’t give a damn about anyone but themselves.
