Thank you @CommunityBoard1 for pressing the @bpca_ny why they have to raise Wagner Park so much higher than the project embarking right to the south. Asked over and over why they have different requirements and neither Jordan from the City nor @bpca_ny could answer
We had an exciting visitor on #HRPK's Gansevoort Peninsula yesterday — a bald eagle, seen here perched on a light post enjoying a freshly caught eel. This appears to be the first official perched sighting of a bald eagle in Hudson River Park, which is a notable milestone!
@bpca_ny What’s noticeable is how all the lights are on and how the park and trees helped protect us during Sandy. We need a project that prioritizes green infrastructure
In response to the soaring heat index this week, @NYCParks has extended outdoor pool season for another week. Pools will be open daily through Sunday.

@Cmh176Hughes here is your climate change contribution. Over a hundred mature trees cut down. This will be studied as one of the key failures on resiliency. It is your legacy.
Where are the jobs @CMCarlinaRivera@CarlinaRivera promised would be created by East Side Coastal Resiliency. They went everywhere BUT the LES. All we got was a destroyed park

The Battery Park City Authority led by Martha Gallo and @Cmh176Hughes cut down every single tree in Wagner Park in their effort to redevelop with @AECOM at the helm. @nytimes@CNN@THECITYNY@nypost
They picked the most environmentally and culturally destructive plan when there were alternatives. #2023BPCABoardLegacy. Here is who is responsible: https://t.co/s3JCUs7kbV @Cmh176Hughes
At least we can feel grief at seeing these beautiful trees come down, and at the sight of birds flying circles in confused panic, unlike the city "planning" automatons who are so disconnected from the living breathing world about and around them -Marcella Durand
