They'll tell you it was about freedom and liberty.
The North remembers what it was actually about.
Tonight they will light the fireworks and call it a birthday. The whole Republic on its feet, hand on its heart, singing about a liberty you've never once extended to anyone you could rob instead.
The South forgets. The South always forgets. But we don't.
We remember Gnadenhütten. Ninety-six Christian Indians, pacifists, converts, singing hymns, beaten to death with a cooper's mallet while they prayed. The militia voted on it first. Democracy. No one ever hanged, because in America the killing of the innocent was never a crime. It was a human sacrifice required to spawn the demonic republic into existence.
We remember Washington, Conotocaurius, Town Destroyer. Forty towns of the Six Nations burned, the orchards girdled, the corn salted in the field so winter would finish the children the torch had missed.
We remember sixty thousand Loyalists. Robbed, tarred, driven into the snow for keeping their word to their King. They came north with what they could carry and built a country out of that winter. My country. One that didn't have to steal a hemisphere's name to find its own.
We remember the Trail of Tears. A literate, treaty-keeping Christian people marched west at bayonet point so Georgia could have their gold.
We remember the Philippines. Two hundred thousand dead and the water cure, to liberate a people from their liberators.
And then you ran out of frontier, so you made the world your frontier.
The North remembers.
We remember who built Stalin's industry. American engineers, American capital, American trucks. Then you armed him, then you handed him half of Christendom at Yalta and called it peace.
We remember the quiet occupation of the half you "saved." The foundations. The NGOs. The endless dollars poisoning Europeans to be ashamed of their inheritance so they would never be competition for America. You trained their elite to demolish its civilization for free and call it virtue. Europe is dying from a poison sold to it as medicine. We remember who mixed it.
And when they tell you the men who run that Republic would never do such things to their own, remember what they've signed their names to.
Northwoods. The Joint Chiefs proposing to murder American citizens for a pretext.
Tonkin. A war that killed three million, launched on an attack that never happened.
MKUltra. Dosing their own people to madness and death, then shredding the files.
Tuskegee. Six hundred Black men left to rot from a curable disease for forty years, lied to the whole time.
Iraq. A vial of stage-prop powder at the UN, half a million dead, and not one night in a cell for anyone.
And 2020. American money funding the exact research at the exact lab in the exact city where the plague began, and the man who signed the cheques parsing "gain-of-function" under oath.
Then the plague came. And under cover of it the whole electoral machine was rebuilt overnight, by decree, and the one man that class had sworn by every other means to remove was gone.
I'm not telling you they lit the fire. I'm telling you they funded the lab, stood over the ashes, and that every fire before that was theirs too.
They have spent two hundred and fifty years telling yourselves you were the good guys.
We spent them keeping the receipts.
The North remembers.

@UCCavalier If you ever write that book on America's 250 year long history criminal history, considering making 1,776 pages long. (Fitting considering how much you would have to cover.)
@UCCavalier Hard agreed, China might be a big problem here (worst in British Columbia) but the yanks are the very reason we were vulnerable in the first place especially with WW1 & the CIA. America siphoning off our economy and potential like a metaphysical vampire.
Gavin Newsom says tariffs may not disappear if a Democrat is in the White House: "I can't guarantee that, but I can guarantee you nothing like this — the level of disrespect, talking about the 51st state on the basis of our history, our proud past, our present, how important you are to our future and the world we're trying to build. No, those days are numbered."
@UCCavalier He even claimed the incident make him not return to activism or online for almost a week and yet he tries to put on a tough guy front. Quebec separatists are at least men with culture, this guy is just playing cowboy.
@UCCavalier Quebec just has more culture then the rest of Canada. Doesn't matter if you love a place in Canada more then Quebec, trying to even pretend this isn't true just embarrasses the places you love. I'm not saying there is no culture outside French Canada but we do have to be honest.
Think about how many people lived without ever knowing the snow leopard existed, let alone seeing images of one. The first photograph of the animal in the wild was taken in 1970.
Even people living in the leopard’s region had rarely, if ever, seen one.
It's grotesque how American political culture turns absolutely everything (TV shows, hobbies, religion, other countries, etc.) into fodder for an endless Schmittian political trench war.
Canada is designated "left". Therefore, American conservatives must performatively hate everything about Canada while American liberals must performatively praise everything about it. Neither view Canada as a real place with real people, but just a political theme park. It's either the Disney Castle or the Haunted Mansion depending on their ideology.
Obviously, the reality of Canada doesn't reflect either of these cartoonish hyperreal images. However, this serves as the axiom for most political discourse on the country. It has gotten to the point that Canadians now view their own country through this distorted Americanized lens.
MAGAtard slopulists are now mocking people struggling to afford groceries in order to maintain the delusion that Trump has created a new "Golden Age".
In 2021, I felt sorry for those who got the J6 treatment. When the same happens to MAGA 2.0, I'm going to laugh.
