It’s impossible to overstate my love for the FA Cup in this era — and this match.
On 16/05/1987, I was nearly 10, a fan of neither club, but that day is etched in my memory.
Iconic kits, brilliant players, and a ding-dong match, all played out in the Wembley sunshine on that unique-looking pitch.
The FA Cup was so special.
Imagine having to close a whole stand because one bloke managed to evade scores of stewards and coppers and get to the away end TWO YEARS ago.
I really hope there’s a solution to be found here.
Seems unnecessarily stifling.

This was a moment that will always link Motty with the Sky Blues. He & Garth Crooks, travelling back on a Saturday from a match they’d covered for Match Of The Day, would often call in to the Coventry board room for a quick drink, and were always welcomed at Highfield Road.
With changes in government again, it’s important that new leadership focus on importance of #smallbusiness in delivering sustainable growth for the UK & to ensure that the right support & environment is created for them to survive & thrive.
