Im just rewatching episode 4 from series 1 of #24hoursinpolicecustody, (it’s the drug drop one), in it there’s a young man called Darren who is a drug user and shoplifter, but comes across as a very nice, very sweet young man that is fighting the demons of addiction……
“…yeah, they’re having a bit of a wobble and will be off for a while…” Do all forces do this ? Are phrases like Wobble/Wibble and similar normalising MH breakdowns ?
I just saw on a Netflix crime documentary that in New York, you can be detained for 144 hours from arrest to a charging/bail decision, would you say that was better (for Policing) or worse
