@GameOverThirty I am seeing a few "tech issues" like Forza in the future, as some PS players have shown extreme FOMO and can't wait 3 to 6 months. 3 to 6 months is the max of exclusivity I think, as later you'll have to do a new marketing push and the game's hype ain't fresh.
@linojamer@GameOverThirty Then it's a timed exclusive. I am fine with 3 to 6 months, anything else just hurts the game as we've seen. If someone fully funds it, then ok, they can do what they want, it's their money.
@GameOverThirty Frankly, it's good PR to have engagement. Real fans of Remedy will still get it day one(I imagine those are mostly the ones bitchin). If the game manages a buzz beyond it in such a busy month, it won't be cause it has or hasn't EA. There's more bitchin about AW2 being on Epic.
@JezCorden GFN. I do use it on the old Ally Z1E and that's magical when it works. The power of 5080 in a small package. Of course I do use the actual z1e for other games, but it's mostly indies or older ones and OTG.
@JamiesAct Who can't accept? I am mainly a fan of what Xbox does and PS was down in the dumps but this is rad. A great game, and I expect nothing less from Santa Monica. They and ND are a reason I still have PS. Wolverine looking good too. Deborah AW is badass, I loved her since True Blood.
@rpwbrowne@GameOverThirty They said no to being acquired in the first days of HD2 success. And judging by Sony's acquisitions this gen all going down the toilet, smart move.
@rpwbrowne@GameOverThirty Which shows how much Sony knows about PC which is absolute 0. PC launched HD2 in the stratosphere, because it had a huge Magicka fandom, also they nearly torpedoed it with the PSN login requierment and taking it down from countries. That's why Arrowhaed said no to further colab.
@rpwbrowne@GameOverThirty Sure, but they also didn't expect it to do much beyond helldivers 1, it wasn't part of the live service plan, and they were ready for like 50.000 concurrent players at most. They got 10 times that at launch, and the game was breaking at the seams.
@GameOverThirty@rpwbrowne HD2 went to Xbox on Arrowhead's insistance, and seems like the right move, one month it was the bestselling platform for the franchise.
@GameOverThirty@rpwbrowne Nobody is going back from the 3rd party that can. Shift Up went their own way, Kojima signed for a movie game, but I doubt DS3 is gonna happen under Sony, if it happens. And I expect to see it on Xbox. There's been lower sales on consoles and exclusives just don't sell.
@rpwbrowne@GameOverThirty They funded them to a tune of 100 mil SEK a year. They made at least 8-10 times that money. That's a great return on investment.
