It's ridiculous that we're still talking about stereotype threat. The original Steele/Aronson article was published in 1995. The problems with replicating it were surfacing within a few years. It should have been forgotten 20 years ago. But it's the old story. If a single study produces academically popular results, it survives failure to replicate indefinitely. If a study produces academically unpopular results, no amount of replication is adequate.
