The Convention has been signed by 🇦🇩🇪🇪🇫🇷🇬🇷🇮🇪🇮🇹🇱🇹🇱🇺🇳🇱🇲🇰🇳🇴🇧🇪🇮🇸🇵🇱🇸🇪🇲🇩. 🇬🇧 will sign it on 14 May. According to the Convention ,at least 8 countries, including 6 @coe members, must ratify it for it to enter into force.

Yesterday, the CAT experts expressed concern about the alarming increase in life sentences in 🇹🇷 #Türkiye. Between 2019 and 2022, such sentences surged by 40%. The experts called for an immediate end to this practice.
