the govts response or lack thereof is what made Katrina worse than 9/11 to me. within minutes of the attack on the twin towers emergency services were mobilized. Katrina was predicted and yet federal aid was delayed weeks. People were stranded for weeks! A whole region of black people displaced and missing STILL 20 years later.
