@Fremond_ yeah +1 to what the other commenters are saying: sf food is very bimodal in price range. street food is off the charts: cheap ramen, coffee, baked goods, tacos, burritos. and high end Michelin-and-adjacent. the middle: $20 lunch/dinners is really not there
@saranormous I give a similar analogy when people get all excited about drug discovery too; the actual discovery/folding part is a tiny, tiny bit of the whole process (like floor planning). it’s the validation/trials/testing that consume bulk of the workflow.
