In two separate operations today, vigilant BSF troops seized a large consignment of suspected heroin and a drone near the Punjab border.

Acting on specific input, BSF troops conducted a thorough search and recovered a huge packet wrapped in yellow adhesive tape with illuminating sticks from a harvested field near Rattar Chattar village, Gurdaspur. On inspection, 08 packets of suspected heroin weighing 8.6 kg were found inside.

Earlier in the day, alert BSF troops intercepted a drone movement and swiftly activated technical counter-measures. A subsequent search led to the recovery of a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone near Roranwala Khurd village, Amritsar.

Robust technical surveillance and the tireless efforts of BSF personnel continue to foil smuggling attempts and drone intrusions across the border, reaffirming their commitment to national security.
