@jjfitzgeraldMD Could use ultrasound to check for it paradoxical contraction too, but the tactile feedback is SO great for patients and we can do so much good internal manual work as birth prep, as well as to reduce pelvic pain during pregnancy.

@jjfitzgeraldMD I check for this in all pregnant patients! Internally palpate and have them practice pushing to see if paradoxical contraction present. Then train them out of it!! Also, check pf length in diff birth positions to help them find optimal ones! Love my job as as pelvic PT♥️

@alexisohanian I love @JeremyFrisch ‘s work with young athletes. I think a HUGE part of the problem is girls not participating in as much organic (and sometimes rough!) play during pre-pubescent/puberty years! I think interventions like his during that time period would be HUGE
