Releasing the first 2-bit ternarized Qwen3.8: TernaryQuench-27B

Also the complete open-source recipe: calibration trace generation, a CAT-Q/AYOT-inspired trainer, and GGUF/MLX exporters

To be honest, never thought I'd end up releasing models on HF. 😆
I just wanted to implement the stack : ternarization -> calibration -> MLX conversion -> coding-agent adapter
Reverse engineering the CAT-Q trainer worked surprisingly well,
The reconstruction gets PPL 38.7528 vs 34.51 reported in the paper, close enough that I’m fairly confident the direction is right

I (well, Claude) made the 2-wall vase mode for Cura.
One continuous spiral prints the outer wall, no z-seam, and 2x stronger! 😆

I built QmlAgent to provide coding agents structured runtime evidence instead of screenshots: walk the live UI tree, fire real input events, catch binding/layout failures, map them back to the QML source, and verify the fix.
Inspect -> diagnose -> repair a running Qt Quick app, no more human-in-the-loop
Ask your coding agent to give it a try :-)

Omarchy Quattro's code base is 4x the size of the 3-series. Thanks largely to 40K lines of Quickshell QML! But the OVERALL system is just a quarter of the code it was before, because we've dropped a bajillion dependencies. And ISO is 20% smaller, installs up to 40% faster!
Last build of the year:
I designed the EDC36 as an integral part for my next cyberdeck build and figured I’d share the files in case anyone else finds them useful.

Haori36
Penk Chen published his Haori36, a compact monoblock ortho with thumb cluster and optional Pimonori trackball.

I used Frank Adams' awesome T4p1_thruhole PCB and a 22-pin 1.25mm pitch FFC connector.
Too impatient to wait for the Teensy 4.1 order to arrive, I used that board as a breakout, slapped on an RP2040 Zero, and translated the Arduino code to QMK firmware.
