Next day, it was goodbye to France and a start of long days of travel for us. We started really early in the morning to catch a train to Brussels and had another transfer at Cologne before staying overnight in Hamburg.

One last meal in France. I didn't eat any moules-frites during the braderie but I did have a croissant! It was really good with strong buttery notes. Forgot to take a photo though.

gf: "You ate the croissant way too fast, friend!"

First stop was France. The braderie weekend in Lille to be specific.

Good friend's review: "The hotel is passable but there's too many people. Definitely too many drunk people."

Me: Why is your color so affected by lighting 😭

Sunday morning we set out early. Crowds today were less intense. We spotted a theme park that was closed for the weekend.

gf: "We should have went here at night."

[Pen @PenOugi]

Your child didn't really like his travel arrangements. Sorry @haruya_rabbit

[Pen @PenOugi]

He arrived right before I left on my trip but it seems my good friend dressed too quickly and put his ears on the wrong way. Buff little bodyguard. 😆

In Europe right now. Will update with more later but it's half a vacation and half work/research trip. ✌️
