@JamieFinance25 The golden rule is to pay off debt first. Ignore the noise. Markets are volatile right now. If you want to get started, invest in a global index fund like VWRP, set up an automatic monthly contribution, and carry on focusing on the mortgage.
@MPelletierCIO Invest in the stock market. Pay into a good pension. Stop sacrificing your health for a workplace that doesn’t care about you. But live now, not just later. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, and neither is a retirement you’ll be fit enough to enjoy.
@IndexAndForget You can still enjoy a bit of risk, an ASIA or SEMI etf can get quite spicy. You will just sleep better knowing it will recover unlike an individual trade.
@GuruAnaerobic As a separated father of two, having children has been the greatest privilege of my life. Their early years were my finest, teaching me about myself.
That said, if I were making the decision now I wouldn’t have children. Life is too expensive, and divorce has become too common.
@TheParaInvestor I find it astonishing that people don’t zoom out. Investing is so simple. You only invest what you can afford to lose, and even if there is a recession or a pandemic it ALWAYS recovers over a period of 1-3 years. Selling at that much of a loss is stupid.
