@hellodonavon just realized the latest FEC fundraising deadline is tonight. I am eager to see the latest FEC report on this campaign. I might actually have more cash on hand than they do, & I have the misfortune of having pc-building, photography, & video games as famously affordable hobbies
RESULT: In an upset, even if it was looking likelier in recent weeks, Colorado AG Phil Weiser has defeated Senator Michael Bennet in the Dem primary for governor.
Bennet has been the state's centrist senator since his 2008 win. He'll stay in the Senate (term ends in 2028).
So, Micron recently pulled out of the consumer market, only selling their DRAM to corporate clients. Especially the AI ones. Can't help but feel like this fair wasn't really for the general public.
The Department of Justice and more than a dozen states have reached a proposed settlement with three of the country's leading egg producers to resolve claims that the companies colluded to manipulate egg prices. https://t.co/QqabhedMfG
Since we’re back on this subject, another reminder:
No Palestinian journalist has ever been filmed literally blowing up civilian homes while on the job. Can’t say the same for Israeli journalists.
My experience has been the same. For goodness sake, Amira Hass--a Jewish Israeli--lived in Gaza for four years and has lived in Ramallah ever since. The idea that Palestinians can't tell the difference between a Jew, even an Israeli Jew, and a soldier or settler coming to do them harm illustrates the anti-Palestinian racism that, sadly, pervades both the US and much of the Jewish community
This is exactly why the issue has had such an outsized impact in Dem primaries despite registering as a low salience issue according to traditional polling metrics. It’s 100% a credibility thing.
I’ll also point out that Tom Kean is saying he was apparently too depressed to show up and vote, but not depressed enough to stop abusing his office by insider trading while he was away.
I’m not sure I buy this story, but our government is ridiculous.
The conservative argument that you can’t be a citizen if you’re “subject to a foreign power” would have some implications for all the Americans who fight in the IDF, I would think.
JUST IN: The Supreme Court confirms that birthright citizenship is a right under the Fourteenth Amendment.
Roberts writes the 6-3 decision, with only Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch dissenting.
Holding true to process-as-policy is a disaster for the Democrats. Not only does the other side not care in the slightest, the electorate, in general, doesn’t see this kind of thing as a principled decision. They see it as cowardly.
