Thank you to Councilmember Rue Landau for speaking to us last week! We loved hearing about your experience running for office, and the legislation you’re working to pass!
@Rue_Landau
We are so excited for an amazing new semester with Penn Dems! Join us and @RickforPhilly at our interest meeting this Wednesday, January 21st, in Huntsman Hall 355 at 8pm.
I’m running for reelection to keep moving our Commonwealth forward – and to keep getting stuff done for all Pennsylvanians.
Let’s do this: https://t.co/K3NI1aQ5lj
Join us and residents of the 27th Ward at the Penn Alexander School to learn more about saving SEPTA. We’ll be joined by @RickforPhilly, @JamieGauthier1, and @SenTonyWilliams’ team. See you Thursday from 6-8 PM!
Shout to our Political Director Aidan & @PennDems for representing PA College Dems at the National Democratic County Officials Conference last weekend in Philly! We appreciate all you do for College Dems across the state Aidan!!
@TheDemocrats Chair @kenmartin73 shared his plan for the DNC. Compete in every county. We must win elections to deliver for working people. Thank you @PennDems for helping National Democratic County Officials have a successful weekend!
We were honored to meet @TheDemocrats Chair @kenmartin73 at the @demcountyoffice Luncheon! We are committed to electing Democrats up and down the ballot in all counties across the commonwealth and country💙💪
Every member of congress who votes for this reconciliation bill will be voting to cut Medicaid coverage and food assistance for hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians.
The impact of this vote would be devastating — and it will be on them.
Juneteenth is a day to commemorate emancipation, to reflect on the hard, often painful truths of our shared history, and to celebrate the progress we've made on the long road toward freedom — not just as Pennsylvanians, but as Americans.
But progress isn’t automatic. It requires effort. It requires vigilance.
Each of us has a role to play. A responsibility to learn from our past, not to run from it — to grow, to strive, and to build something better for the generations that follow.
So today, as we celebrate Juneteenth, let’s not just honor the past — let's recommit to the work of justice, to expanding opportunity, and to making real the promise of freedom for every Pennsylvanian.
Because Juneteenth isn’t just Black history — it’s American history. And it reminds us that the story of freedom is still being written.
We are proud to endorse @Krasner4DA! Polls are open today from 7am-8pm. Head to https://t.co/fhUBXPxTGQ to find your polling place/nearest mail ballot drop box locations.
This weekend, our family witnessed the incredible bravery and excellence of our first responders.
The entire Shapiro family is eternally grateful for the @PAStatePolice troopers who safely evacuated our family from danger, the firefighters who quickly put out the fire at the Governor’s Residence, and the law enforcement officials who’ve worked to investigate this attack.
From the bottom of all of our hearts, thank you.
Earlier this week, we had the honor of hosting Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner. We had a great conversation about his tenure and learned about the city’s efforts to fight crime. Thank you for joining us @Krasner4DA!
We had a great time making calls tonight for @MaloneForSenate and Dan Goughnour! These two PA Special Elections are crucial for @PADems to flip a State Senate seat and regain the House majority.
BREAKING: President Trump signs an executive order directing Education Secretary Linda McMahon to take measures to dismantle the Department of Education.
The complete elimination of the department would require the approval of Congress. https://t.co/LkwZkcoUEP
