@IslaBlatchford @BBCGuernsey Both scenarios. Rapid reinfection is a characteristic of Omicron though. Research shows catching it gives you less protection than previous variants.

Reporting this morning on @BBCGuernsey about why we’re seeing more people catching Covid twice. Sometimes it’s just weeks after recovering.

Out of 70 reinfections locally, 65 have been since the new Omicron variant.
