@1jeffsipes1@mattlanza I am one of those born here decades ago. Won’t give my age, but remember we had no air conditioning & only those huge noisy attic fans & open windows. Yep, we always make it work. But, dang the process is not always easy or fun. Thanks for your post.
@mattlanza I enjoy your weather & updates. Grew up in Bellaire, (Elm St. 2-3 blocks from Post Oak (just a ditch then). Often had flood waters in street, Hurricane Carla in front yard only. Harvey, Energy Corridor home, never flooded before then. Your theory on increase of flooding & storms?
@RHolemanWrites So true!! My little sister and I would put on little singing acts for our family and performed songs from some of the popular great movies like South Pacific, The Alamo, The Sound of Music, Carrousel, West Side Story, and many, many more. Great memories and so much fun.
@HellHat80172147 @creator_grimm That would be a nightmare for me. Math has always been a weakness for me. Thank the Lord for computers. When I was an undergrad we had to take an Intro to Statistics course without a calculator. It was a nightmare. Thankfully in MA & PhD studies we could use them.
@Jailyntwts Love it!! I draw similar designs as well. I do not start out with a specific idea in mind. I just doodle, draw, connect, etc. Sometimes in black ink, sometimes with just pastels, sometimes with anything.
@Dannah_Writes I say ya’ll. When I worked in Toronto they laughed at me. I laughed at the way they spoke as well. Texas and Toronto accents and expressions are quite different, eh? LOL
@creator_grimm I have had nightmares where I had a fire in my apt. & lost my dissertation. I kept fussing at myself that I should have put it in the refrigerator. One of my profs said that is what he did every night in case there was a fire in his dorm. Obviously, his was way before computers.
@AkkalonAS Put saran wrap on the bottom ceramic portion of the toilet, and then put the toilet seat back down. Steals the pleasant morning ritual from the person engaged in their morning ritual. I actually went to a girl’s school decades ago and we used to do that.
