It's #ShakespearesBirthday today and during these unprecedented times, we are reminded of this quote from Othello:
"The robbed that smiles, steals something from the thief"
The #WestMidlands is resilient and endlessly good-humoured whatever we face.

@andy4wm As a regular rail user yes @andy4wm - I could not agree more that "rail services should be accountable to the people they serve". I try to do my bit for the climate and travel by rail but get home late and miserable most days. Thank you for speaking out!!
WMT have rejected a number of suggestions I have made to improve services, yet I have no DIRECT POWER as Mayor to compel them. Rail services should be accountable to the people they serve. Therefore I've asked DfT to devolve control of rail to me (& my successors) as Mayor. (2/3)
The current service provided by West Midlands Trains is 🔴🔴🔴WOEFUL🔴🔴🔴. I have lost all faith in WMT's ability to run our network. If not sorted by midnight 31/01/20, I will formally ask @transportgovuk to STRIP WMT of the franchise. READ MY MESSAGE TO RAIL COMMUTERS 👇 (1/3)
An absolutely stunning video from @KenLoachSixteen & team. Take two minutes to watch this & then make sure everyone you know sees it. “The choices we make reveal who we are...There’s a fork in the road. Is it ‘I’ or is it ‘We’?” #ForkInTheRoad#GE2019
