Chapter 2. Desert

The otters were lean and muscular, their fur a shade darker than the ones they had met before, and their eyes glinted with a fierce determination.

As Odie and her family approached the group, they noticed that the otters had adapted to the desert lifestyle, with minimal resources. They had dug deep holes in the sand where they could store water and preserve food, and their sharp claws enabled them to burrow deep into the ground, providing them with shelter from the blazing sun.

The otters welcomed Odie and her family with open arms, and they shared their knowledge of the desert, teaching them how to find water and survive in the harsh conditions. They showed them how to dig holes and where to find edible plants that could sustain them. As the sun began to set, the otters revealed their secret to surviving in the desert.
