@TeamYouTube On 5/19/2023, YouTube terminated my 16yr old ASMR channel (emilyuwo ASMR) without warning, despite 2 years of producing ASMR videos without any issues. I had recently hit 25,000 subscribers, nearly 5 million channel views and was really enjoying helping my community to relax and sleep better. I am seeking to appeal to a live person as I know my explanation would resolve any possible reasons to have terminated my channel.
Due to this being a public post, I will need to exclude some information. I wanted to begin the process of appealing this termination with the goal of reducing the severity of the punishment.
I began posting ASMR content nearly 2 years ago after I had found ASMR as a way to quell my own severe anxiety caused by Covid. Encouraged after being helped so much by ASMR, I wanted to pay forward this help. I was looking forward to building a community of people looking for an escape from anxiety in life in a post-Covid world. Over time, my community grew, and I began receiving messages from people telling me how my content had helped them sleep better or calmed their anxiety. This drove me to create more content and motivated me to possibly become a full time content creator. This would require an investment in new equipment. I decided to expand to other sites like Patreon to help me pay for these upgrades. I also sought some help from others as I lacked experience as a content creator. Sadly, I did not do my due diligence on whom I asked or what information I received. Based on a recommendation, I began using YouTube as my primary host and backup for all my content on Patreon and any customized versions of my YouTube and Patreon videos (these were all unlisted videos). All content was “safe for work.”
Entering 2023, after some events in my life, I chose to reach out for professional business help. Around March 2023, I received a report from a consultant that reviewed all of my business and received one recommendation to remove all “Non-YouTube” content from YouTube and host it elsewhere. I took this recommendation and began the process immediately. Since I did not have back-ups, I needed to download each video, re-edit, export, and then upload onto my new hosting/storage site. Since this process required the direct contact of a substantial number of individuals, and businesses. I expected the process to take 2-4 months. I removed around 100 of these unlisted videos from YouTube when suddenly, my channel was terminated. Though the message I received from YouTube was vague and I feel incorrect and unfair in its language, I believe that these unlisted videos were the issue.
I understand that my actions could have led to a warning, strike, or suspension, but I cannot see how it led to a termination. If these unlisted videos were the problem, you see that I was actively in the process of removing them. I never had any intention to misuse YouTube and miss my channel every single day. I would have never jeopardized my channel knowingly and would gladly do whatever is needed to continue helping my community.
I am asking for an audience to listen to my complete explanation and allow me to return to YouTube at some time soon. Since my termination, I have now fully read YouTube guidelines and better understand what is allowed. I have retained the services of a business professional to help make sure I never err like this again. Prior to the termination, I demonstrated that I was correcting my channel to make sure it fell within community standards. While receiving poor advice does not excuse my actions, I am willing to accept appropriate punishment. I am asking if that punishment can be reduced substantially and allow me to continue creating my mental health centered content on YouTube. Please allow me to explain my full story and seek resolution. I look forward to speaking with someone at YouTube and appreciate your time in this matter.

Cr@p... Just got home.
Did I miss anything?
Anyone have a different dairy products in their pocket? Anyone claiming that the pants they're wearing aren't theirs?

@meg_goghst@RCSD@danabrams@Sean_C_Larkin That makes sense... Paint the doors the same color as the most common bodily fluid/solid found on the walls and doors in that establishment...
