@desert_starr_57 Probably break even once commercial licensing taken into account, and drives traffic to Disney plus. Blu rays etc. If they made this a season 4 they would have lost 120 mil.👍
it is a success for me. even when having one of the biggest hate campaigns on internet. and not having a single legacy Star Wars character. #TheMandalorianAndGrogu delivered a Star Wars movie that makes you feel in the galaxy far far away again. this is the way
Well, it made its money back and turned a profit against the odds.
You can ride the Star Wars name really hard even in 2026. It's insane how goodwill from a hexalogy of films from more than 20 years ago can carry a franchise even when it's been grievously wounded and disfigured.
... My mind keeps changing at the moment. Tonight I'm all in on Kjetil Knutsen. Like all in. 😅
4-3-3 (which would suit us a LOT). Plays very attack minded football but adaptable in big games.
Has managed huge European matches and done an unbelievable job at Bodø/Glimt.

@comfortable8374 For Disney on that sort of low budget movie its probably fine. Don't forget there main source of income is the Parks etc. They do also have films like Avatar and Toy Story 5 we should make big bucks. Starfighter though will have to do a lot better.
I finally saw The Mandalorian & Grogu today. I thought it was fun overall. Good Star Wars summer popcorn movie. Minor spoilers below...
My top 2 complaints would be it's too slow and dare I say edges on boring in the middle when they are stuck in the swamp. And there are almost no action figures for this Star Wars movie! Let alone any affordable ones. Imagine that!?! The techno music is a little off. I wasn't keen on how the Amanaman aliens were used. I would have liked more Sigourney Weaver. And the only characters we really learn anything new about are the Hutts, We learn nothing new about the protagonists or the other villain/s. And please no more director or Lucasfilm employee cameos. That really killed the x-wing battle.
But I did like seeing the planets. Having a lovable Hutt was refreshing. Grogu & the Anzellans were cute as intended but they missed an opportunity by making all 4 indistinguishable with no unique personalities or looks.
But it was fun. Maybe not worth paying to see it a second time in theaters. But enough to go once.
@ATroubledGreen Is how good a film is judged by its box office? Disney would have spent the same money on a season 4 and got NO return. This way its self financing.
