@SamJDean@JPercyTelegraph i do wonder if Morgan really fancies walking very slowly to take any set pieces, faking injuries and/or wrestling people to the floor.
@piersmorgan dont listen to any of us mocking Piers. Your team have done what Blackburn and Leicester have done previously. But with a much bigger budget and playing football to send people to sleep

I do find the reaction to the CL final yday interesting. Have seen so many comments about how if Arsenal went out there and tried to play football they would have got murdered. Possibly. Who knows. We know Arteta certainly wasnt going to try.
Arsenal have played this horrendous brand of football all season long. It wasnโt a new style for this game. It was just exacerbated by game state and opposition. 24.7% possession says everything. This is the worst team I have seen for playing style relative to their resources. Ever.
This Arsenal team wasnโt going in as some plucky underdog. They have just won the PL ffs. They have spent over a billion pounds since Arteta has been at the club. They should be able to impose their own style on the game. This is meant to be an elite team. They play as if they are a League 2 team up against a top 6 team in the FA Cup. Some plucky underdog.
They had a set of fixtures from the gods in this tournament. I would be shocked if it isnโt the easiest run to a final in the modern era.
I understand winning is all that seemingly counts. Surely there will come a time and point where Arsenal fans want a little bit more given the resources Arteta has had available to him.

'Arsenal preferred to exasperate, not exhilarate, genuinely believing that they could grind PSG into submission'
After falling short against PSG in the Champions League final, @oliverbrown_tel argues Arsenal's cautious approach backfired โคต๏ธ

@TimesSport@garyjacob you just cant spend over a billion quid assembling a squad and play like they do.
Defensive discipline much easier to put in place when you show next to no attacking threat and aim to win games on set pieces and small margins.
Elite teams entertain and play to win every game
Gabriel just gave Football Twitter all the ammunition it is going to need for a very long time.
Being a shithouse can come back to bite you in the worst ways.
@CPhilpOfficial , this case is horrific enough without distorting the documented evidence for political posturing.
The Police didnโt arrive to a clear-cut stabbing with an obvious victim. They arrived to a 999 call in which Digwa lied, claiming he had been racially attacked and insisting no weapon was involved. Officers walked into a scene framed entirely by the murderer โ and with no other report to the country - that deception shaped the first few chaotic minutes.
Whilst Henry told officers heโd been stabbed, the wound wasnโt visible and the information they had suggested he was the aggressor. Itโs likely that this information informed their decision to initially handcuffed. Within three minutes, officers realised the truth, removed the cuffs, called an ambulance and began CPR. A pathologist has since confirmed the injury was unsurvivable.
The officers didnโt ignore him. They didnโt cause his death. And they didnโt cling to Digwaโs story once the facts started to unravel. They arrested him and others at the scene, gathered evidence to charge and ultimately prove his guilt and conviction for murder. The force has already apologised for the distress caused in those first chaotic moments.
The case has rightly been referred to the IOPC who will now conduct an investigation into the officers actions and decision making. Equally, the officers will advance their rationale and justifications for using handcuffs based on their reasonable beliefs at the time.
But turning a murdererโs calculated lie into a political argument about โfixation on raceโ is not supported by the evidence as reported during the trial. It should be obvious to most reasonable people, and Iโd include you as the shadow Home Secretary in this, that the officers were misled by a โwicked lieโ, not driven by ideology.
Henry Nowak deserves accuracy, not a narrative built on assumptions that contradict the verified timeline. Accountability is essential, as is the IOPC investigation โ but so is honesty about what actually happened and what has been reported throughout the trial.
Manchester City have informed Savinho he can leave the club this summer, with @TEAMtalk understanding the Premier League champions have instead decided to prioritise tying Jeremy Doku down to a new long-term contract.
