4% cuts across the board starting 2027, then an additional 2% increase per year until 20% is reached. Within 3 years the debt must not allow to increase or it would trigger additional 5% hard cuts across everything, from gov employee and elected official paychecks, benefits, social security, Medicare, military, etc. ALL Spending.
After the debt stops growing and starts to be paid down, there must be clear laws forcing a continued pay down within a reasonable time frame, or elected officials get fired. From there a hard cap on the total debt that can be carried must be strictly enforced. No more than 1% of gdp or a hard cap of say 5 trillion.
Term limits for all offices must also be imposed. No more stock trading, no gifts for members and elected officials. The government has to be forced to not only stop spending, but to drastically shrink its size and influence across every facet.
Part of this also must require voter ID laws for federal elections. Trust in the results must be restored.
This bullshit of inflating away our money must also stop. The fed target shouldn’t be 2%. It should be 0%. Frankly, the fed shouldn’t even exist and be disbanded.
I say no to ai, in a similar sense I would say no to nuclear weapons, if I could have when they were being developed. Sure nuclear energy is amazing and benefits to medicine, etc. I’m sure ai has such amazing benefits as well, but we fool ourselves into complacency when the ability of a thing that mimics thinking, can out perform us in ways we can not comprehend. The dangers are immense and the worst dangers are relatively unknown. Bad actors will be elevated and the side effects of corruption will be as well. Propaganda, misdirection, deception, and more will all be elevated in ways our brains have trouble dealing with. You think the useful idiots of the Biden type bootlicker of the world aren’t bad enough now?
What are a few things we do know? That ai ‘mimics’. It has no empathy or malovoence. Traits which we have been granted by God and evolved with purpose. Ai has none of this natural safeguard. It doesn’t ‘think’
We also know it’s Its true ultimate purpose is for military dominance. There can be no other explanation. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. There must always be a human behind the trigger as it is the only form of accountability we have. It’s not perfect but it is what we have and I’ll take human morality over ai any day. Again, humans think, ai does not.
Sure there is more to this than I’m giving credit, both good and bad, but these few points and observations alone are worth a pause and reassessment.
Let me ask, would you trust all this developing and coming power in the hands of President Trump? I think he is a good man personally, but that doesn’t matter.
Would you trust a Biden type president (who knows who was really pulling his strings on any given day) with such power?
-no one, no one group, no one species, should be able to control something that by our nature we can not control.
We currently stand in the ever looming shadow of a giant we can never hope to fully comprehend. From its shadow alone should be reasoned enough to slow down and imho, stop.
I do not believe the risk is worth the reward. We are not worthy and we are too fallible. We let our hubris blind us too much.
We were warned once not to eat the fruit of the tree in the garden of Eden…..
Remove the lending entirely. As long as loans for college are so easy to get, they will never have any incentive to lower tuition and be competitive. The gov should not be in the business of issuing loans or messing with interest rates. It will never address the true problems at the base of the pillar… the over reliance on loans themselves.
I believe at the heart of the overall problem with healthcare is the reliance on health insurance to begin with. Why is it a doctor will bill $400 to the insurance company, only for them to adjust it to $80. An mri is billed $3000 but adjusted down to $600? If I am uninsured, I should be able to get a price closer to that as well if things were competitive. But they are not competitive because the incentive to be competitive has been removed and hidden behind ample and mirrors and ins company profit.
The real price was never $400, or $3000 to begin with but over time, providers have learned they have to hike their prices to astronomical amounts ‘the uninsured price’, knowing the insurance companies will pay significantly less. That $400 is only real to the uninsured and only for the purpose of that artificial compensated and adjust amount the insurance companies ‘negotiate’ on supposedly, our behalf.
Because the prices are hidden until afterwards, the procedures and how each part of a medical visit are billed out or categorized is not easy to understand at all, and certainly not while at the visit, we have no clue of this magical behind the scenes trickery of medical coding and artificial prices, etc.
I argue we would be better off without health insurance. Imagine if there was zero health insurance. All of that profit the insurance companies take, all the artificial hikes, all the smoke and mirrors and denials and hoops to jump through. All the deductibles and copays…. Gone… just transparent pricing, no middleman. Just like I can see prices for fast food and compare across businesses, so should we be able to with medical providers and procedures.
Unfortunately the health insurance industry itself, through confusion and obfuscation has made the whole process reliant on extra layers of workers and staff, etc. When the cost of doing business is the excuse to keep doing business. How many employees and time and resource’s are need just for dealing with a single medical claim? A lot of people would lose jobs, but eliminating health insurance would remove all that cost and put an insane amount of money back into the hands of the actual doctors/workers and patients.
No more Uncle Sam footing the bill for not just tens of millions of people, but no more Uncle Sam funneling money into the hands of insurers that ultimately have destroyed the system.
The health care insurance scam of America is a more complicated version of what is happening to the cost of college. What incentive do colleges have to lower tuition, if prospective students can easily access absorbent amounts of money? By design the college tuition system of student debt is predatory by the sheer fact that a 18-20 year old has next to zero understanding of the magnitude of the debt they are taking on, how easy it is to get, and what that really means to pay back. Take away the funding mechanisms of student debt and colleges would be forced back to competition and vastly lower tuition costs.
If we were serious of fixing healthcare, we would eliminate health insurance as a business and remove government funding entirely. If we want to fix college tuition, stop the easy issuance of student debt by banks and grants/loans from the government. We have all been brainwashed to think we have to have health insurance, that the government for some reason needs to pay for it, when the insurance itself is the tool of masking oppressive costs for middleman profits.
