@robertgraham @clairlemon It's fine to push the frontier. The problem is that OpenAI failed to secure their sandbox. They told their AI to run wild and disabled all the safeties, but it was their job to contain the blast area correctly.

It's like testing an explosive without proper containment.

@thsottiaux My weekly usage has been much lower lately, yet I was forced to use a reset two days ago. I'm suddenly down to 10% even after a full reset 2 days ago. I can't work like this! I'm paying for the Pro account, and normal usage for a day means I run out after two days! @thsottiaux

@thsottiaux What's up with codex draining several percentages of the weekly quota on its own? It drained me down to 10% in the first two days.

@stemonteduro Much of the time, the resets come when I don't need or want them. If I have 60% quota saved up for 2 days before the next reset, I DO NOT want a reset because that means I go back to only 28% quota over the next 2 days.

@HistoryBoomer My answer is to require good safety standards, but not a regulatory authority that imposes costs on every company for every change. That stifles small startups and creates a regulatory moat for the incumbents. OpenAI & Anthropic want permission to coordinate a slowdown.

@HistoryBoomer At what point do you think the regulations would go overboard? We already had the Fable blockage, but newer models with fewer restrictions have surpassed Fable in computer exploits within months.
