@KeathaB @GinaForAustin Every time the system gets to a point where kids are successful, the state changes the rules. They cant justify killing public education if it’s successful. So they change the test and change the game to ensure kids are not successful.

Eight year old Texans are being asked to TYPE a five paragraph essay. Imagine that as a 3rd grader.

And, do you know how a 3rd grader types?

@GinaForAustin I love how they never set the passing standard until after the test has been administered. So it's like being put in a round room in the dark, blindfolded, spun in circles, then told to hit a bullseye you can't see. It's always been a rigged game.

Districts are being punished for doing right by kids:

In Austin ISD, middle schools are in trouble because a high % of 7th graders take Accelerated Math—those kids don’t take 7th grade STAAR (they take 8th grade STAAR). So the best math performers are absent from 7th grade data.

Last week 2025 STAAR test results dropped in TX & one thing is clear:

A rigged STAAR is setting up schools & districts for TAKEOVER.

Ex: 50% of 3rd graders got a ZERO on the typed essay. When 50% get a 0, there’s something wrong w/the test, not the kid.🧵
