Fact: In that time, India has had a PM from the South...the most prosperous and well-governed region, for less than 6 years. That's about 7.5% of the time.

@SouthMatters @revanth_anumula The President is a figurehead. The PM is who matters. And here's the fact: Deve Gowda was a compromise PM who served briefly in that post. The ONLY PM from South India was PV Narasimha Rao...and he did more good for India that all the PMs until then put together.
