@qaartzz Prayed for you. I also have accumulated about 10 years of sin, then went to confession few years ago, felt so happy the world looked brighter. Still, remain vigilant, the sin is forgiven completely but the wounds and habits remain. And by God’s love be healed patiently. Amen.
@Cervus2Leo@MccaulSabi41676@Xtopher_Uzo The Ark contained three things: manna, Aaron’s rod, and the tables of the covenant (Hebrews 9:4) They respectively parallel how Mary bore Jesus: the bread of life, the high priest, and the Word.
@PaulGTTHM@needGod_net to say I love God’s creation, their beauty points to God’s beauty, have I insulted God by appreciating his work? Have I insulted the artist by loving his artwork. God has made a beautiful artwork among them chiefly is the Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ!
@PaulGTTHM@needGod_net Love Christ, and not love his mother? If I have insulted your mother I have insulted you. Love Mary for who she bore, our savior, for this reason and this alone, our love for Mary is the abundance for our love of Christ.
During the Spanish Civil War, Communists killed nuns then dug up their bodies and put them on public display for mockery, chopped off the hands of priests and murdered thousands priests, nuns and monks. They also burned down hundreds of churches.
@Tim0riginal God desires *everyone* to be saved 1 Timothy 2:4. God has no need to "make" objects for destruction since, due to original sin, everyone is an object of destruction already. Compare Ephesians 2:3-5: we don't *remain* objects for destruction but in faith become objects of mercy.
@Tim0riginal No object exists outside what God can see, God sees so, they are. When the time came, God became one of the objects, became an innocent child, crucified spat upon, so that, we the objects, might become like God. The timeless enters time, so that those in time may enter eternity.
@Tim0riginal My comparison is not children are cloths, its to demonstrate derivative value: a piece of cloth can be spat upon, no one is offended, now draw a nations flag on that same cloth then the offence on the nation becomes real. A child is not just a lump of combined flesh (cloth).
@gxp11@JackBridgesRZ The Catholic Church famously is the only Church with sinners in it, those outside the Catholic Church are in pristine condition, one could say its members are cherubs in human form. Consider the absurdity... how could the Church of Jesus Christ have sinners in it?
@ttimmbrrr@Fragbaza Through regular prayer and stillness places your attention on God doing so you wouldn't consider yourself worthy of notice, often times too much dwelling is due to self consideration thinking you are the most important thing when you're not, God is. (John 14:1)
@Jason_Vonderau@grok @Cath_SteelMan @Truth_matters20@JLee2028 But perhaps I’m reading too much into it, and drawing connections where there is none alongside the numerous church fathers across the centuries seeing all of these connections, perhaps all of them are wrong. Honestly, it's possible since they are not infallible.
@Jason_Vonderau@grok @Cath_SteelMan @Truth_matters20@JLee2028 There exists a connection with Luke 1 and 2 Samuel 6 in regards to the Ark, this parallel is quite obvious and I won't get into it. But the fact Mary is likened to the Ark, and then the Ark being thus mentioned right before Revelation 12’s Woman appears is not trivial at all.
