Webull is rolling out crypto perps to eligible US users in November, clearing contracts through Kalshi.
The hurdle is market share: Stork Research data shows US-regulated perp volume hit $42B in early October, but Deribit drove roughly 80% of that total ($33.8B). Retail volume across Kalshi and Coinbase FM has barely budged.
Embedding perps directly into an established retail brokerage solves Kalshi’s biggest bottleneck: acquiring active derivatives traders without forcing them onto a standalone prediction exchange.

SK Hynix’s stock perp fell 6.4% on Saturday, while its oracle fell just 1.5%. The stock exchange was closed.
Bitquery’s October 19 investigation counted $43.8M in liquidated stock-perp positions across Hyperliquid during the 25-minute wave. Longs accounted for 82%.
By Sunday evening, SK Hynix’s perp had recovered to within 1% of its pre-crash level. Liquidated traders couldn’t ride that recovery: their positions had already been closed.
Weekend liquidity can decide whether a leveraged position survives until the underlying stock trades again.

Orderly
@OrderlyNetwork supplies the infrastructure behind perpetual trading apps.
Builders connect their own interfaces to a shared order book through APIs, SDKs, or Orderly One, rather than building a separate matching engine and liquidity network from scratch. ⚡
XMR was up 2.4% over 24 hours while its Hyperliquid perp traded below the spot oracle.
At 21:42 UTC: roughly $597.8 against a $598.7 oracle, with negative hourly funding.
Shorts can lose on the price move and still pay longs to keep the position open. Funding follows the perp’s premium or discount to spot, not the direction of the daily candle.

@VelocityDEX combines perpetual trading and lending on Solana, with USDT settlement.
One collateral balance can back open positions while earning lending interest. Withdrawals must clear both account-margin requirements and the market’s withdrawal limits, since some deposits may already be lent out.

SP500’s weekend price band can move.
https://t.co/3G8U5c35PR’s SP500 perp has roughly $341M in open interest this Saturday. Its specification uses ±2% discovery bounds, with one permitted reset in each direction.
A reset shifts the reference price and establishes a fresh band. A liquidation price outside the previous range can become reachable after that shift.
The protection only holds while those particular bounds remain active. The first 2% window doesn’t capture the full permitted price path.
SAND shorts paid roughly $18.46 per $10,000 of exposure in a single hourly funding payment on Hyperliquid today.
The 13:00 UTC funding print was −0.1846%. The following hour eased to −0.1007%.
At the first print, a $10 price profit on that exposure would still leave you down $8.46 before trading fees.
An expensive hour to be only slightly right.
