My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, daughters, family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace my friend.
Today I learned of the passing of my friend and mentor, Howard Moscoe, a dedicated City Councillor and a true champion for the little guy. He believed deeply in fairness, compassion, and standing up for those whose voices were too often overlooked.
Beyond being a consummate politician, he was a loyal friend, a devoted husband, and a loving father to his three daughters. His legacy will live on not only through the work he did for others, but through the family he cherished so deeply.
Groceries are too expensive. That's why I put forward a motion for the City to pilot non-profit grocery stores to lower prices and improve access to healthy food across Toronto

After days of waiting, our recycling in Humber-River Black Creek was finally collected. Hundreds of residents contacted my office and up to 10,000 households were affected by Circular Materials missed pick up.
I was not in support of this change and I believe that the City is best positioned to collect recycling with our infrastructure 24/7 call line at 311. That said, I will continue to work for the best possible service for residents of Toronto.
We've heard riders about slow trips on the Finch West LRT and today at City Council we moved to speed up service. I am committed to continuing to work with the TTC to make service faster, more reliable and more comfortable.

December 6th is National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. 14 women were killed by an act of violent misogyny at Ecole Polytechnique in the name of "fighting feminism." Today, we honour them and commit to building a world where this violence is unthinkable.
Join us on Sunday December 7th as we officially open Line 6 Finch West.
Free rides will be offered to all! Also, at Finch West Station, the first 100 customers will receive a special commemorative coin!
Shoutout to @TOHousing for creating a safe space for young people at their iHelp centres.
I had a chance to check one out at their recent open house on Grandravine Drive, as well as test my foosball skills. Pleased to report -- still got it!
I joined @MayorOliviaChow for a visit to @WestviewCentSS and the amazing team and students at Game Changers.
We learned about the incredible work they are doing mentoring and supporting students, and even got to sit in on a workshop for the girls' group. Thanks for having me!
