We are introducing the concept of partial metrics.
Like "node_cpu_utilization_${instance}". When ingesting these partial metrics, we are trying to find what reel metrics it can match.
Thanks to that, you will have a better idea about the metric usage you have

We have implemented a new (small) parser. Before we were (only) relying on the PromQL parser that requires a valid promQL expression. But sometimes your expression contains variable that cannot be replaced statically.
This parser is able to catch metric in incomplete PromQL expr
