Honestly I wouldn't mind a smash version of this, where a new character shows up after a local match and you gotta beat up a cpu
It's kinda fun, only gets grindy in smash because theres like 50 battles you have to do lol

In about 12 hours of playing the full release, I've gotten 2.5k, which is a pretty poor rate
But nobody seems to be saying exactly specifically what they've done to get more

That way people can't get Ultra Omega Diamond+ on one character then go farm little Timmys in bronze, AND it incentivizes winning because you can't get stuck in a rank you aren't ready for, AND you won't have to constantly face people who are way way better than you

Still have a separation between "Rookie Smash" and "Elite Smash" (or whatever you feel like calling them) though, where people in one of those categories CANNOT match into people of the other category
