Lol. Nigerians will not just “maintain friendship” with people they don’t like. They will attend their birthdays, parties, funerals, births, wedding. In fact they will marry people they actively dislike if it gives some benefit. The word friend has no real meaning in Nigeria. It just means someone I am currently in some sort of (often, but not always beneficial) human interaction with.
@sikimsuseni@Pete_technician This most likely depending on your confidence levels, you might be the worst public speaker but once you’re high on confidence, you will even surprise yourself
hmm before them drag me. i see some people on here underestimate what it means to financially take care of a grown adult. it’s a huge task that can even make the person start resenting u unintentionally. that aside you can never be equals with someone that you are fully dependent on. it sounds sad but the truth is bitter. asides romantic relationships gan, even our parents get tired too. so i need people to be more honest especially in today’s economy
I like befriending people who have a lot going on career-wise, because they end up being the most stable friends who don’t start acting weird. They have too much going on to even worry about competing over the weirdest things.
Along the way somebody was gracious enough to take a chance on you because you had the right attitude even if you didn't have the skills to match. It's only right you extend the same grace to someone else.
Am I the only one who genuinely isn’t bothered by other people’s success? 😩 Like I’m happy for them and stuff but I don’t have sleepless nights over their success. Their win is not my loss. I clap and keep it moving 🙏🏽❤️
A girl who grew up watching money determine her mother's mood will grow into a woman who uses money to determine a man's worth. The poverty you survived has became a policy you enforce on strangers.
My Caucasian brother-in-law had an amputated leg. He died after I had already become a priest. I don’t recall ever going to church with him whenever, as kids, we went on holidays to my sister who was married to him. I started offering Holy Masses for him after his death. Then one day I saw him in a dream, wearing shorts with his leg no longer amputated. He was smiling and saying to me, “Everything is fine, everything is fine.” I took it as a sign that God had heard my prayers for his soul.
Praying for the dead is an act of charity and a way of remembering those we loved.
We cannot put God in our little boxes.
The testimonies from the ladies solidify the fact that a lot of men don't have a discerning spirit.
Once the first excuse has been made, you shouldn't be found "convincing," anybody.
God, free my men from the shackles of foolishness called "Love."
