@rail_guns@fixmystreet Is it: https://t.co/tpdjF3Vi2X โWe have assessed it and found that it does not currently meet the criteria for intervention, so will not be fixing at this time.โ Cyclist safety not one of the criteria apparently!
Why does Copenhagen invest so much in cycle infrastructure?
They calculated every km. cycled produces a societal economic gain of DKK 4.79 (โฌ0,64); every km. driven loses DKK 5.29 (โฌ0,71).
Society therefore saves DKK 10.08 (โฌ1,35) per km. when people cycle rather than drive.
@ClareFKing @alan_thawley @ReconnectingOx Agree; people do not NEED to stray from their local area but can if they want to. No-one is stopping them if they have reason to or want to for any reason.
@LeyNathan@claydenizen @timbearder @CalumMillerLD@AndrewGant3 @EmilyKerr36 @samculham A good inspiring video. I expect that this now means that, in line with @OxfordshireCC policies, the @OxfordshireCC Planning and Regulation Committee will reject the application by @OxfordshireCC for HIF1!
@ReconnectingOx @hoxtonrich @RecongestingOx, I trust you will be publishing the explanation given by the Information Governance Officer of Oxford City Council following your recent FOI?
