Apparently, most of the voters are Republicans. And they will be able to vote on federal offices. The current issue is whether they will be eligible to vote for state and local offices.
C'mon. Feel free to attack Choe all you want. But, please do not falsely accuse NATAS of selling nominations or letting entrants nominate themselves for Emmy Awards. I'm sure you understand the distinction.
@PeterCOConnell Because most of the other entrants don't behave as Choe does. He's harassed mutual aid volunteer and those he dislikes constantly, has showed up uninvited to folks homes and did a proud boy promo reel not even 2 years ago.
If that is who you defend, then so be it.
Every entrant pays to enter in all regional Emmy Awards competitions around the country. So, why are you singling out Choe and ignoring the hundreds of other entrants in the Northwest region who also paid to enter. And, entry fees are unrelated to nominations.
No. People self-enter, but the entrants play no part in determining nominations. The entries are sent out to judges around the country who score the material based on a standard of excellence. The highest total scores are nominated as long as they meet that standard.
@PeterCOConnell@Zach_Wurtz The rules doc, page 4 checklist allows for self nominations.
Judges do judge indeed but they don't do the nomination, correct?
This is incorrect. Everyone in the competition pays an entry fee. Entries are then judged by peers across the country and those judges determine which material is nominated. Please stop spreading misinformation.
An update to Choe's "nomination", that's a bit comical:
It's pay to enter, that anyone can pay to nominate someone (or themselves. )
Basically Jonathan Choe and/or his employer nominated themselves then bragged about it.
No. Anyone can pay the entry fee. No self nomination. Judges around the country determine the nominations. Where do you get the idea people can nominate themselves?
HE BOUGHT THESE!!!
😂💵🏆🤣
Background on regional Emmys:
- The entry fee is less than $200 and ANYONE can pay to nominate themselves for any of these awards.
- Only paid SELF-NOMINATIONS are accepted.

What a weird thing to lie about.
@Zach_Wurtz Yes, there are entry fees. But, no self nominations. Entries are judged by peer panels around the country and the highest scores earn nominations.
@FredNBCLA Hey Fred! Congrats on a great TV career from one who was there with you near the beginning - the Newscenter 4 weekend broadcasts in 1980. Enjoy your non-retirement. You've earned it.
Only one more day until the 2022 National Student Production Awards!
Watch and cheer on the NW nominees starting tomorrow at 10am PT/ 11am MT at https://t.co/8TGDYunRM4
It's that time of year to renew (or join) the NATAS Northwest Chapter!
From now through December 31, membership fees are only $60 for renewing members OR new members. After that time the fee raises to $85.
Head to https://t.co/tHqbKueXwQ and click on the "Membership" tab.
@MrTVStud Yes, seems very likely MGP will win. If the remaining ballots in the two blue counties (Clark and Pacific) split evenly, Kent needs to win 60-65% in the red counties because there aren't that many red county ballots left. Not done, but almost.
An even split in Clark the second day in a row and Kent only gained a total of 923 today, mostly from Cowlitz. It's looking like Kent will have to make up the difference in the non-Clark counties, which will be a challenge since they don't have many ballots left. #waelex
Clark counted about 24000 today and it was an even split. Kent had a gain of 126 in Clark and 4391 overall today, leaving him 5882 behind. That's a big shift in Clark. Kent probably needs significant gains in Clark, but the red shift there keeps him in the game. #waelex
On to CD3. Quite the same story as CD8 where Kent's only hope is the the late ballots in Clark turn red. He's losing Clark by 22,000 after Tuesday and Wednesday. Kent has picked up 4200 today, but Clark has the most ballots to go and hasn't posted yet today. #waelex
